6 months post op - what can I do to correct stretched eyes after a facelift? (photo)

I had a face lift 6 months ago . I specifically wanted my cheeks tightened but nothing on my upper face to change . I noticed my eyes were stretched and waited to see if it was swelling and it is still stretched . Is there a way to fix this ? Is there a surgery ? My eyes were bigger before and now they are tighter which is what I didn't want

Surgeons who do not routinely fix these issues are dismissive of the complexity of repairing these. However, what you need to have surgically in a repair must be tailored to your issues and what precisely is causing your ectropion. Most eyelid specialist would look to "tighten" or shorten the lower eyelid to repair this. However, that is seldom a satisfactory approach. Shortening the eyelid can actually cause the eyelid margin to rid under the curvature of the eye making the eyelid look pulled down. Generally the change in the face from the facelift is contributing to the malposition and this must be addressed. I am attaching a graphic video on how this is accomplished. What repair do you need? That can't be determined by a Zoom consultation. You need a detailed, in-person assessment to determine what the best approach is for your issue. Your eyes can be your best feature.

To really understand the problem so that we can give advice, it is best to put a photograph of your eye/eyes before surgery and after surgery. "Stretched" can mean different things and can apply to eyelids horizontally or vertically. Will be happy to give advice if you post those photographs.
