That is completely true. The new applicators from late 2016 are redesigned for better comfort and no longer produce that "butter" like effect. It is much more comfortable for the client and reduces the pain immediately following treatments with the massage. Rest assured your results should be fine and have nothing to do with "how" it looks right after the treatment. You found a center with the updated technology! Best of Luck. 

Hi urbanhippy, good question. CoolSculpting released new applicators in late 2016, designed to be more effective and comfortable. Some of these require less suction and depth, and therefore do not produce the “stick of butter” effect of earlier applicators. It sounds like you’ve benefited from treatment with the newest device technology. 
Early results can be seen as soon as six weeks after treatment, and continue to develop over the course of three months. Be patient and don’t hesitate to reach out to your doctor if you have any questions. Enjoy your results! 

Hello,Thank you for your question and picture. It is true that the new hand-pieces have a much lower suction. Depending on the area you may not see the large "brick" look. There is nothing to be worried about at this point. Good luck!
