I had coolsculpting done to my lower abdomen and flank region 3 days ago, initially it was very numb, but now it almost looks like I'm pregnant. My lower abdomen is sticking out more than before..I don't think I've been eating that bad and have been exercising. Is this normal and when does it get better? I've also gained 2 lbs!

Answer: Coolsculpting/Vanquish Versus HI DEF VASER Liposuction / Mommy Makeover / Tummy Tuck did they do z wave or cellutone after? this should be done to cut down on the swelling. also you can wear compression. i suggest vanquish treatments weekly to enhance the results. it will take weeks to months to resolve. if it doesn't resolve, consider seeing an expert to ensure you do not have paradoxical hyperplasia. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Swelling after Coolsculpting Thank you for your question. Yes, it normal to have some swelling in the lower abdomen after Coolsculpting treatment which can take up to 2 weeks to resolve. The weight gain you are experiencing is most likely due to extra fluid. I would give your body more time to heal before assessing your results. If you have any concerns please contact your treating physician. Best of Luck!
