Abdominal bloating/swelling, weight gain after CoolSculpting?

Sometimes the appearance of 'Gaining weight,' after a CoolSculpting treatment is confused with the body's inflammatory responses to healing which include swelling and water retention. The good news is that these side effects typically will go away and are only temporary. Some patients find using a compress for a couple of days prior to treatment is helpful for this. The swelling can last for a week or two , and it is most likely the extra fluid causing the extra two pounds. Give things a bit of time to calm down, and you should see results in 2-3 months. did they do z wave or cellutone after?  this should be done to cut down on the swelling. also you can wear compression. i suggest vanquish treatments weekly to enhance the results. it will take weeks to months to resolve.  if it doesn't resolve, consider seeing an expert to ensure you do not have paradoxical hyperplasia.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Yes, it is entirely normal to look swollen after coolsculpting; even up to two weeks.  I tell patients to expect not to wear their "skinny jeans" or a tight dress for at least 2 weeks because of the swelling. In time it will resolve and then from 1 to 3 months after the procedure is when you should start seeing the results.
