Any suggestions for lip injections for a black woman with full lips? (photos)

I am a 25 year old black woman with fuller lips ..I would like to get my lips filled in the sides of my bottom lip,the sides of my top lip and my cupids bow enhanced..I would love a fuller look I have a bigger face and feel like I can go bigger in the lip area ..Do you think I can get a more defined fuller look ..?

Thank you for your question, and the photo.  You have very nice lips.  I would hesitate to put any more in them.  That being said, there are ways to augment things a little.  There are many things one looks for in nice lips, (overall shape, cupid's bow, fullness and enhancement, etc.).  This can be done with injectable fillers.  Our office likes the Hyaluronic Acid injectables for the lips, (Juvederm Ultra XC, Restylane-L, Vobella XC, Belotero, etc.). Each has pros and cons, and the procedure must be individualized to your lips.  Please don't over do it.  Please go to an experienced, well trained injector.  Please call with any questions.Jeffrey J. I understand what you are asking, but I have to tell you that your lips are quite full and lush already! It may be guilding the lily, but conservative injection with a filler like Juvederm plus may provide what you are looking for. Don't over do it, they look great already! Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist. Good Luck!

Based on your picture, you don’t need any more volume in
your lips but could benefit from a little more lateral definition to them. You have a nice “cupid bow” that slightly “thins
out” to the corners of your mouth. It is
possible to augment your lips without volumizing them. Juvederm
Ultra and the latest filler, Restylane Silk, are very fine fillers and used for
shaping while Juvederm Ultra Plus works nicely to add volume to lips. Seek a consultation with an experienced
injector and look at his before and after photos.

The photo that you provided is very helpful and it appears that you have very pretty lips. If you want to get a small amount of volume then you could consider a small amount of filler just in those isolated areas that you referred.  Please be careful since you currently have a lovely shape and I would not want them to get distorted.

In review of your photo, I strongly advise you against any injection for lip volume enhancement. You have full lips, any additional injection of filler will deform your lips.

You do have full, beautiful lips.  You could have a bit of filler to provide more definition.  You do need to find someone with a lot of experience using lip fillers.  You do not want to be too full!  A subtle augmentation would look great.
