My forehead feels very tight 3 days after dysport. Will the tightness subside? Is the tight feeling normal 3/4 days in?

It is normal to feel tighter in the first few days following injection, that is because the neurotoxin is working hard to relax the muscles creating the wrinkles you're seeing. I recommend you wait 2 weeks from when you were injected and if you still feel tight at that point, follow up with your injector. I hope this helped! Best wishes.

It is very normal to feel a "tightness" or "heaviness" as the product begins to work and the patient begins to feel it, but this varies from one individual to another. Most patients don't feel much different, they just look improved from a wrinkle standpoint. All the best,

Thank you for your question!  Dysport, Xeomin, Botox and Jeuveau start to work after a few days, but can take up to two weeks for the full effect.  It is normal to feel "tight" as the Dysport is starting to work to relax the muscle that is creating the wrinkle.  If you still have questions after two weeks, I would recommend following up with your injector!

It is not unusual to have a feeling of tightness for several days after a Dysport treatment to the forehead.  This feeling normally resolves within a week or two.  If you feel it is not improving after this time, I would recommend contacting the physician who treated you.  

I appreciate your question and assure you that tightness is a normal side effect after Dysport injections. This symptom should subside in the next few days and you will be left with the good results that you are already enjoying. In most cases, it takes up to two weeks to see the full outcome of this treatment. At that point, you should be able to enjoy your enhancements for three to four months before a subsequent procedure is needed.

Tightness can take 7-14 days to improve.  A combination approach would give the most improvement. Movement lines and superficial wrinkles improve best with botox, dysport or xeomin.  Fine wrinkles need lasers like clear and brilliant, fraxel or erbium or co2; radiofrequency like venus viva or intensife microneedling RF; microneedling with PRP and stem cells; aquagold treatment; or soft fillers like belotero, restylane silk or refyne, revanesse versa, or juvederm volbella.  Deep wrinkles can be improved with a combination of Botox and/or fillers for the lines themselves and to build anatomical support with Sculptra for collagen building.  Aggressive deep peeling like phenol/TCA and J plasma can be used for deeper scarring or wrinkles.  Ultherapy is great for lifting of this are and thermage is great for tightening and improving overall texture.  Monthly facials like silk peel, dermalinfusion, salt facial, and microneedling with retinol masks can really help fine wrinkles and pore size. Some patients do report a feeling of tightness after Dysport injections. This feeling will typically subside over a couple of weeks.  If it does not, return to your injector for an evaluation.

Dypsort works by restricting movement at the injection site.  The feeling of not being able to contract your facial muscles like you are used to will cause your face to feel tight.  This feeling will gradually go away as the Dysport continues to function and you adjust to using different facial muscles.  If you still have concerns after 2 weeks, then I would recommend scheduling a follow up visit with your provider to go over your results.  

Hello. Thank you for your question. The feeling of tightness will lessen as the product continues to kick in. Give it the full two week. It may be working in some muscles before others since you were just injected.
