It's January of 2020 and I got a Facetite/Necktite procedure with lipo under my chin on June 5th 2019. I feel like my overall improvement was stellar, but I also still have smile lines and lip lines. I'd like to do gentle multipronged treatment like Clear and Brilliant on my face and neck, but I'm wondering, are the effects of my other procedure complete enough for me to to this? Would it help or possibly hurt my result?
Answer: It is safe to combine Clear and Brilliant to enhance results. This will help reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Other skin treatments with ThermiTight of face and neck or Face and NeckTite In our practice we have ThermiTight for face and neck. This is very similar to FaceTite and NeckTite since they both use radiofrequency for skin tightening in a minimally invasive way. We love to layer other treatments for further more superficial improvement such as lasers, microneedling, Ultherapy, ThermiSmooth, fillers and Botox. We find that vertical lips lines and smile lines are not treated sufficiently with just one therapy. Is usually takes a few types of therapies. Our best results are with at least 3 combinations, the more the better. At minimum, a more serious laser than Clear and Brilliant plus filler and one more treatment. New to our practice will be The Secret. This is microneedling to the max because it also uses radiofrequency. We are very excited to have this new technology.

Answer: Clear and Brilliant laser Clear + Brilliant laser is effective for an overall improvement in skin texture and tone, can be done now and would complement your previous procedure. It is not the best treatment for lip lines. Combination treatments such as Fraxel laser, microneedling, fillers, Botox, skin care products and sun protection work best.

Answer: Treating vertical lip lines and laugh lines Vertical lip lines can be difficult to treat and usually respond best to a combination of treatment including neuromodulators like Botox or Dysport, fillers like Restylane Silk or Restylane Refyne, and fractionated CO2 laser or microneedling. Laugh lines (nasolabial folds, marionette lines) are best treated using fillers. Clear + Brilliant is too gentle a treatment to help with vertical lip lines in my experience.
