Can a Closed Revision Rhinoplasty make my tip + bridge smaller and more narrow like the model's photo? (Photo)

Any major revision rhinoplasty must be necessarily be made via open approach, this to begin with.Second, being the cosmetic judgement of a nose always partially subjective... I can say that your current result is not the best possible and you are candidate for a revision, but... the wish pic is a very bad result, with a pinched deformity, inverted V problem, etc.If we could see the whole set of views for your nose I could provide further opinion, but for sure the model shown as desired result is not a nice and natural nose at all.

Your tip appears as narrow as the model's, but the width of your nostrils appears larger. It may not be feasible to achieve a narrower nasal base, depending on your examination.Hope this helps.Dr Joseph

 A closed rhinoplasty approach can accomplish narrowing the nose.  To narrow a wide nose requires osteotomies placed in the nasal bones to narrow the bridge line, a tip rhinoplasty to narrow wide tip cartilages, and an alar plasty to narrow wide nostrils.The before picture looks adequate, while the wish  picture appears rather pinched, and overly narrowed

The results you can achieve are dependent upon your existing anatomy and the expertise of your surgeon. It seems possible you can achieve a narrower nose based upon your picture. After 30 plus years doing rhinoplasty I recommend you find a surgeon who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

First of all, an in person examination would be required to see if you can get that narrow. Depending on your bone structure, we are limited on how far we can move the nasal bones in without completely obstructing your breathing. Sometimes grafts can be used to create that narrow look but then the profile may be raised a bit. Since there are so many variables, you should see a surgeon who can use computer imaging to show you what they think is possible with your starting point. Best of luck

Dear prettycali1, An in office examination would be needed to determine if you can get the desired results you are looking for. The structure of your nose would need to be evaluated to see if this is realistic or not. The decision on closed or open rhinoplasty would be determined by the surgeon you pick. It is best to determine the results you want and then whatever technique the surgeon would use to attain your desired results would then be discussed. During consultation digital imaging can be performed to show you the proposed results based on your anatomy at that time you can decide if these changes would be sufficient to undergo a revision procedure.
