Can I get a chin implant while there is still filler in my chin area?

Hi doctors. I am considering getting a terino square chin implant for a more masculine look but dont want to make the permanent commitment yet and was thinking about getting a radiesse filler before to test it out. If I do decide on an implant, does it matter if there is still filler in my face or should I wait until it has dissolved before I get the implant? Thank you

Thanks for sharing.  Chin augmentation is a great and satisfying procedure. Silicone chin implants can be removed if it did need to be removed for any reason.  Radiesse will last for a year and would interfere with proper placement and sizing if the augementation.  Other "hyaluronic acid" fillers can be used and may be reversible. Radiesse is not reversible. Good luck!

I actually think filler is a great solution for enhancing the appearance of a chin.  There is no scar and there is no artificial material in the chin that could get infected or have malposition.

Fillers are unable to obtain the same result as a chin implant, even on a temporary basis. Chin implants offer much more volume and  a permanent augmentation of the bony mandible.  The surgeon who performs a chin implant after fillers may place the wrong sized implant based on an artificially augmented chin.

Hello, thank you for your question. I recommend waiting until the filler in the chin area is dissolved before getting a permanent implant. Radiesse and Voluma are both great options to make a stronger-looking chin, however Voluma can be dissolved and Radiesse cannot, FYI. Good luck!

I would say no as it is not easy to determine your implant size and the outcome if filler is present.
