Microneedling will not cause unexpected hair growth. It will regenerate new collagen to fill in or re-texture skin to repair fine lines and even help acne scaring if partnered with PRP and chemical peels. Microneedling is a great treatment for maintaining skin health. Like other providers have answered it will only cause hair growth if its done with PRP in an area where the is existing hair growth.
