Cheek implant removal 2 months post op, will my skin sag?

If you have the implant removed your face will go back to the normal shape. There is no reason you will "stretch" out the skin.  Fillers can be used or fat to reshape.  Best, Dr. Emer.

In your age it is very likely that after implant removal your tissues, shape and size will be (within several months) close to your preoperative condition. You should discuss this issue with your physician and decide about best timing and post-operative management. Good luck. 

After removal and when swelling has gone down, you should go back to how you looked before surgery. But, may be you would like to wait for completion of dealing process about 6-9 months before deciding on removal. Best

Speaking with your surgeon about your concerns may be helpful and reveal alternatives available to help you achieve your goals. I would not expect that implant removal would result in your cheeks or skin hanging but remember that you are used to seeing yourself with a fuller cheeks  and removing them may feel like you are worse than pre-op but in reality little has changed. If you are truly unhappy with your recent cheek augmentation, speak with your surgeon about your concerns and discuss recommendations for improvement. Perhaps there are other suggestions for you to consider before taking them out. However, should you decide to have your cheek implants removed, I would not expect any problems with sagging skin after removal. Good luck

  Hi, I have performed many Cheek Augmentations, using cheek implants, over the past 30 years.  I don't use Medpore implants as they become integrated into the bone in as little as 1 month making their removal extremely difficult, if at all.  This is why I use silastic facial implants for the cheeks and chin.  You may want to contact the company for a referral to an MD that can get the implants out whenever you choose to have that done.  At 19 years of age removal of the implants should not lead to loose facial tissues.Hope this helps.
