Which treatment will I benefit from the most if I had to choose one. Kybella on the jowls and under the chin area? I want skinnier face and more defined jawline. I know my chin is on the small side but do not want to get chin implant. And after the chin ends there is a gap. I just want something permanent not temporary fillers.
Answer: Buccal Pad Thanks for your question and Pictures The buccal fat pad is a rounded mass of fat in the middle of your cheek. It’s located between facial muscles, in the hollow area beneath your cheekbone. The size of your buccal fat pads affects your face shape. Everyone has buccal fat pads. However, the size of buccal fat pads can vary greatly. If you have larger buccal fat pads, you might feel like your face is too round or full. You can be a candidate for a Buccal Pad removal surgery. Best of Luck

Answer: Chin Implant, Lipo Contouring +/- Buccal Fat Pad Removal We have seen many patients with your exact issue at our practice. A slimmer face is impossible to create without a defined chin/jawline contour. For younger patients such as yourself, the most permanent and impactful solution to a drooping neck/jawline is a well-designed chin implant in combination with liposuction of the neck, jawline, and jowls. A buccal fat pad removal can also slim the face further by eliminating unwanted cheek fat. Our most popular non-surgical alternatives for your issue are Kybella (a fat-dissolving injectable) or hyaluronic acid fillers (like Juvéderm or Restylane) for chin/jawline contouring. Ultimately, the majority of our patients with this issue opt for a combination of chin augmentation with implant, lipo contouring, and/or buccal fat pad removal for results with the most longevity.
