I had breast implant revision and liposuction, fat transfer to my breasts with dr Killeen. The pictures I posted do not do my results justice. I have had two kids and my body is better than it’s ever been! I had horrible capsular contracture which was getting worse, hard baseball like breasts- one was up high on my chest and the other lower - they looked fake and hurt so bad I couldn’t even hug my children without rounding forward so my breast wouldn’t be touched. Now my breasts are unbelievably soft and natural. I had my stomach, flanks and upper arms liposuctioned and then that fat was injected Into my breasts to give it an even more soft and natural appearance. Most importantly I can hug and squeeze my children with open arms! My lipsuctioned areas are perfect! I didn’t even care to have a flat stomach again and toned arms - the results were beyond my expectations. I’m enjoying wearing clothes again and even had fun going bikini shopping! Who can say that after two kids?! Dr. Killeen and her entire team were so caring and I truly felt I was in the experts hands. I can’t say enough about the customer care and five star service. Feel free to message me if you are considering having surgery with her and have any questions. I’m so thankful to have been in dr Killeen’s talented hands and grateful for my new lease on life!
Got a mani pedi the day after my breast augmentation. Missed 2 days of work the Friday of and the Monday after for a post op but I could have gone in. No massage. no icing. No vitamin e. None of that stuff other doctors tell you have to do. Can barely even see scars now 2 1/2 yrs later. And can’t even see them unless I lay on my back and point them out. She’s amazing. Worth every penny.
I originally got my implants in 1988 at age 29. Two years ago (2017. Since they were so old my implants were so old they had of course ruptured. I had a bilateral replacement with a benelli lift with a very respected Beverly Hills surgeon. Almost immediately I experienced severe capsular contracture in my right breast. It was odd as my 28 year old implants had remained soft scar tissue-wise. Turned out I had an infection. The implant was removed but I lost a lot of breast tissue in the process. The doctor put a huge (in diameter) implant in to try to make my two breast match. It looked terrible. I had a double-bubble plus the benelli lift stretched my nipple. There were some other problems that I won't go into but basically my surgeon botched the job. After the Allergen implant recall I decided I was done. I'm turning 60 this year and I was sick of worrying about my boobs plus I didn't even like them aesthetically. After a lot of research I found Dr. Killeen. I can't tell you how thrilled and grateful I am that I found her and her team. Hers is an all female practice. After only having male breast surgeons before, I can't tell you wonderful it was to discuss my boobs with people who actually have them! I felt listened to, nurtured, and Dr. Killeen's skill is impeccable. As for the experience of having a explant after almost 30 years of having implants, I am ecstatic! My number one thing? I can feel hugs! For three decades whenever I hugged someone I felt like there was an air mattress between us. Also, I LOVE the look of my small boobs. They fit my body in a way those size D knockers never did. When I had them implants I was a 32D (DD in Victoria's Secret) now I'm back to my natural 32(small)B. I had a breast lift and fat transfer as part of my procedure. It's only been four weeks since my surgery so my incisions still look kind of Frankenstein-y and my breast are still a bit compacted - I'm told it will take 4-6 months for them to regain their natural tear-drop shape. But already I am so beyond happy I did this. I feel like I have my self back. Warning, my surgery - implant removal (they were under the muscle so the doc did a capsulectomy and muscle repair), breast lift, and fat transfer (to repair the damage the other doctor did), was very expensive It scared me to spend the money but I am so glad I did this for myself. Dr. Killeen is magnificent, but also the nurses - I have never received such loving, ever-present after-care. Also, a few of them have had explants themselves so can share with you exactly what to expect. All this to say, GO TO DR. KILLEEN! Updated on 19 Oct 2019: Oh dear, sorry about all the typos in my review. I don't see a way to edit. Should have proof read! I do want to add that there are some women on the staff who made my experience extra wonderful: Jade took the time to explain every detail of my surgery from cost to methodology, Jessica shared her own experiences in an incredibly honest and loving way, and Dee amazed me with her commitment to my aftercare - not only did she check on me every day, but when I had a question or concern she got back to me immediately, even on weekends. Truly, I have rarely experienced such a level of quality and care as I had with Dr. Killeen. She is a partner at Cassileth Plastic Surgery, which an all female practice. Here is a link: https://www.drcassileth.com In any case, I urge any of you considering explant surgey to get a consult with Dr. Killeen.
I need more stars on the scale to complete this review! A few months ago, after receiving a breast cancer diagnosis and discussing my options with Dr. Richardson at the Bedford Breast Center, I decided on a one-surgery bi-lateral mastectomy with reconstruction that she and a surgeon at Cassileth Plastic Surgery could perform. And then I met Dr. Killeen. From our first meeting, I could tell that I would be in capable and compassionate care. She clearly explained the surgical process and what I should expect during my recovery. Up to the surgery and during my (so-far) 3-month recovery, she has been nothing but informative, kind, energetic, and incredibly positive. She was reassuring and provided general timelines in recovering that helped avoid surprises as my body healed. I sense that she aims for perfection in her work while maintaining a goal of a natural outcome that is best for her patient. I will be opting for some follow-up fat-grafting surgery to complete the reconstruction process, but I’m confident that Dr. Killeen will do an excellent job. I would absolutely recommend her to others without hesitation. I’ve had visits with 3 of my doctors post-op and each one has declared that I don’t even look like I’ve had my surgery. If that isn’t testimony to Dr. Killeen’s skills, I don’t know what is!
She will not disappoint!!! After 10 years of searching I found Dr. Kelly Killeen. I can't tell you the amount of surgeons I went to that rather made me feel deformed, told me to lose more weight or just didn't have the experience to take me on as there patient. I was losing hope to be honest. Then one day my daughter who lives in LA told me out Dr. Killeen. I sent her pictures on line because I live in Canada and her response was what I needed to hear. "I can help you" music to me hears. I had a set of triplets 27 years prior and lost 80 pounds so I had a massive amount of skin that shouldn't have been there for as long as it was. I'll never forget the words that Dr. Killeen said to me the day before surgery. "Your such a small women to be carrying around this much skin I'm so excited for you". Best decision of my life. The staff is amazing. I fell in love with my nurse Dee who was so great at her job and was very comforting. The staff was always there when I needed questions answered even to this day and it's 3 months later. I promise to everyone reading this review that if you are searching for a surgeon to change your life forever Dr. Kelly should be your last stop. Amazing experience all around for me.
Dr. Killeen is not only a highly skilled breast reconstruction surgeon but is also compassionate and caring! I was diagnosed with breast cancer April 2018. I had consulted with breast surgeons & plastic surgeons here locally in Las Vegas who all recommended a mastectomy and multi step reconstruction procedures. No doctor here considered me a good candidate for a Nipple Sparing procedure. I also wanted immediate breast reconstruction. Both my breast and plastic surgeons in Las Vegas assured me that in my case, it was not possible. I kept doing my research and consulted with the Bedford Breast Center and Dr. Killeen who told me that both were options possible in my case. I had a Nipple Sparing mastectomy and one step breast reconstruction in July 2018. The results were fabulous and better than I could have hoped for!! My reconstructed breast looks wonderful and pretty much just like the natural breast it replaced. Dr. Killeen is a great surgeon who listens and understands how important it is for a woman to get good cosmetic results when having to make the decision to havea breast mastectomy & reconstruction. I am amazed how well acceptance came over losing my breast and that's due to the wonderful results! Thanks to Dr Killeen and her great staff! Dee the RN on staff was awesome! She did my follow up care, reassured me, & addressed my many concerns/worries during the healing period.
Dr. Kelly Killeen is not just an outstanding surgeon and artist, she is also an angel. I had 15+ surgeries to correct an ongoing problem for last 10 years, numerous super-famous doctors worked on me, in different parts of the world, including Geneva, Berlin, etc.. So by the time I got into Dr. Kelly's hands the words "total mess" don't even begin to describe the actual condition of what used to be my breasts. Dr. Killeen, just as regular angel performed a miracle and made everything good again. I love you. There is also nurse Dee who is just incredible human being, here level of compassion, love and care is truly rare. Last but not the list there is a Brit called Jade - she is so beautiful, funny and totally awesome, I will find a reason to come again for some facial peeling or something else simple just to see you guys! I am so blessed to have met these beautiful people, they maybe just part of exceptional medical team, but in my heart they will always be my friends...
Dr. Killeen did an amazing job on my single stage breast reconstruction. Not only is she beautiful, she is kind and caring. She was by my side as the anesthesiologist sedated me. She stays up to date on the best evidence practice such as using a closed wound vac to speed healing and prevent infection. My reconstructed breast looks better than before. A beautiful cosmetic outcome is a great psychological boost during breast cancer treatment. Every time I look at my breast I’m amazed at how great it looks and I’m thankful. Updated on 16 Oct 2017: Dr. Kelly Killeen was the plastic surgeon working with Dr. Richardson. See my review of Dr. Killeen.
I am fifty-one, healthy and fit. I decided to have my 10 year old breast implants removed. I wanted natural looking and feeling breasts. I am prone to keloid scarring and did not want a lift, so I opted to do some fat-grafting to allow Dr. Killeen another tool to improve the appearance of my breasts once the implants were removed. I am naturally a full A cup. Dr. Killeen added 70 cc's of fat to the sides of each breast, which I am told is an extremely modest amount - I make this point because I think even a modest amount can make a very big difference in outcome. My breasts are perhaps a small B cup, there is some natural sagging, but the result is very pretty, soft, and natural. I am beyond thrilled with the outcome (as is my supportive husband). One of the best decisions I have made regarding my body. Dr. Killeen is extremely professional yet equally warm. As mentioned, I am prone to keloid scarring, my breast implant surgery required two scar revisions, as did other scars; c-section, etc. I am now one month post-op. Due to Dr. Killeen's skill and gentle work, my swelling is gone, I had very little bruising, and amazingly, the scars are flat, white instead of red, and already beginning to disappear - never had that happen before, even after two years. In addition, Dr. Killeen's aesthetic is excellent - she was able to translate what I requested into the results I desired. I am so happy that I chose to work with her, and I would do so again. The procedure was expensive, but worth every penny, especially since she got it right the first time.
After seeing multiple doctorsin ca, I decided Dr. Killeen she was very informative, knowledgable and took her time to answer all my questions our first inital consultation .I felt immediately comfortable with Dr.Killeen and the office staf are Kayti, Jade and the nurse Carolle were super friendly and proffesional. I am very lcuky .
Hello! Pectus excavatum can affect how your overall augmentation looks by making your cleavage appear deeper and your breasts look more projected. For this reason, we try to keep the implant a lower or moderate profile and not place them too close as to avoid strange cleavage appearance. You appear to have a naturally close cleavage and possibly a bit of minor lower symmastia. Symmastia can come from breast surgery, but also some people are just made with the skin not well attached to the sternum. I often use fat grafting in addition to implant augmentation for my patients with pectus excavatum to help make the chest wall more symmetric and hide the deformity a bit. If you do have symmastia resulting from surgery, this can often be improved surgically as well, those with it naturally are much more difficult to repair. Good luck!
Hello! Pectus excavatum will make your cleavage look deeper and your breasts look artificially more projected, for this reason, we typically try to not use higher profile implants. Women with excavatum often has some asymmetry of the chest wall/breast that can be improved with fat grafting done in addition to the breast augmentation. Another issues is that if your implants are placed too close in the center, you can obtain a very odd appearance to your cleavage. This is a common variation of chest anatomy that most plastic surgeons will be familiar with. Good luck!
Hello! Fat grafting is a great way to add some extra volume. It also can have the welcome side effect of improving areas on your body that have a little extra fat when it is removed for the grafting. How much grafting is possible really depends on how much fat you have to donate from elsewhere on your body and how much room is there to put in your breast. The average patient can typically achieve that level of increase, but to be sure you need to see a plastic surgeon for an exam. Good luck!
Hello! It is difficult to know exactly what is going on with you without an exam or photos. Sometimes right after coolsculpting with the swelling things are tight in the area, but once you lose the swelling and the fat cells that are killed are absorbed, the skin will not spring back as much as we would like. This can be managed with non-invasive skin tightening if minor. If major, sometimes surgery is needed. If the area is not just loose skin, but an area of fat, you could be one of the rare patients that develops something called PAH following coolsculpting. This is where the area treated becomes enlarged with fat cells and fibrous tissue. This is treated typically with Vaser liposuction (or any HFUS liposuction). If you had this done at a medspa without a surgeon on site, I'd recommend consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who is capable of managing all of the potential causes.
The indent above your navel is likely rectus diastasis where your muscles have been separated. You can improve rectus diastasis somewhat with working on your core in a strategic manner if you are against abdominoplasty. You can often fine pilates instructors or physical therapists that are skilled with this type of core work. As for your skin, it is very unlikely you will have a satisfactory result from any of the non-invasive treatment. These non-invasive treatments can at best give you about 20% tightening (which is not permanent). This is unlikely to improve the appearance of your abdomen enough to make it worth the money in my opinion. Abdominoplasty really is an amazing procedure and would correct both of the things that bother you in the best way. It is a procedure with a scar and downtime, but the trade is awesome! I would really recommend giving it a second look! Good luck.
