I had 44 iu’s of Botox done on my forehead. After two weeks I still have movement in my frown lines: I can lift my eyebrows, and my forehead . Two weeks later I went back and they injected 52 more units. Three days later I still have the full movement. What do you think it’s happening?
Answer: Movement of forehead after Botox I am not sure if you had only the horizontal lines of your forehead treated with Botox or also your frown lines (the vertical lines between the eyebrows). If you had both the forehead and frown lines treated, I would consider 44 units an average dose. I understand you went back 2 weeks later and had an additional 52 units placed and feel you still have movement after 3 days. I normally tell my patients to wait at least 2 weeks to see the full effect from a Botox treatment, so it is likely that you have not seen the results of your second treatment at 3 days afterwards. I would recommend waiting 1-2 weeks to see your results from that second treatment.

Answer: I had 52 units of Botox and three days later I still have full movement. What do you think is happening? I can understand your concern and sounds like an excessive amount of units for the forhead “only” treatment. Even though its usually not the case but can happen when a client is resistant to Botox and/or wonder if properly injected. You could always try Dysport or Xeomin. Both are neurotoxins similar to Botox but spreads differently and not as easily motabolized, causing the product to last longer for many clients.Hope this helps!

Answer: Botox/Xeomin/Dysport Results--Lasts 3-4 months in new areas of treatment Botox results take up to 1-2 weeks and last up to 3-4 months in new areas of treatment. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Dr. Emer

Answer: Botox Sorry to hear that. So overall that is lot of botox for the 2 areas and if there is no relaxation of the muscle then the issue could be the botox itself or very rarely soem people are just immune to botox but that happens on subsequent treatments not on first. I would go back to the injector and discuss. I will some times switch to other neurotoxin and see if that works.

Answer: Botox Hi,Typically, the botox starts to kick in at about a week post injection and takes full effect at 2 weeks. If you are unhappy at 2 weeks, follow up with your injector.Best,

Answer: Something is up. It is highly improbable that you have "resistance" to botox. That is a heap of Botox. Your forehead should be stone cold frozen. I am not saying that is what one should seek with a Botox treatment. I suspect that it is time to look for a new injector. It is cheaper to sell salt water than Botox. Unfortunately that creates the temptation to provide less Botox than you bargain for as a way of increasing profit. If you conclude that might be the basis for why you are not getting the result you are looking for, I recommend looking for an ethical injector.
