Should a simple eye pinch, where surgeon is only removing skin and not repositioning/removing fat be less expensive than an eye pinch, where they are just tightening/trimming excess skin? Or are they always the same price. Thanks.

Answer: Blepharoplasty Lower blepharoplasty is the name of the procedure to rejuvenate the appearance of the lower eyelids. This can involve a wide range of techniques and strategies including skin excision, fat removal, fat repositioning, muscle tightening, canthal tightening, etc. Every surgeon has their specific technique of doing a lower blepharoplasty on a given patient. An "eye pinch" or "pinch blepharoplasty" likely refers to removing a small amount of skin to try and get tightening. I have not done this procedure as an isolated method of rejuvenating the lower lids because I do not believe this technique on its own is that powerful. It may be helpful in getting additional tightening when doing a full lower blepharoplasty. If the patient truly does not need any fat removal/repositioning, muscle tightening, or canthal tightening, then they are probably better off getting a non-invasive treatment like a chemical peel, filler, or laser. I'm not sure what you mean by "simple eye pinch" vs "eye pinch" as these sound like the same procedure. I would imagine a full lower blepharoplasty would be more expensive than a skin pinch excision.
