I don't recommend Bellafill for the buttocks. Sculptra can be used to improve the butt. Keep in mind, these areas need numerous vials of Sculptra over time to build volume, and in some instances the results are subtle and will need to be combined with fat or implants to achieve desired results. It should be combined with RF treatments to get the sculptra to work even better/stimulate it to produce collagen such as venus legacy / exilis ultra / thermage / inmode forma or contoura. I recommend seeing a body shaping expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer.
The active compound in Bellafill is PMMA. It could theoretically be used in the buttock, but that would be considered an off-label usage because it is not FDA approved to be used in that area. The cost of Bellafill is also fairly high and the buttock is a fairly large area, so potentially the cost would be prohibitive for most people.
Thank you for your question. Technically, Bellafill could be used in the buttocks but it is not economically feasible for most people. Each syringe of Bellafill contains 0.8 cc and will roughly produce the same amount of volume over time. It takes 5 cc to make one teaspoon, so that would be over 6 syringes of product or over $5000 per teaspoon of volume gained. Alternatively, Sculptra Aesthetic can be used with each vial producing about 5 cc of volume over time. This can also take a large number of vials but this at least gets into an area of affordability for some people.Lastly, Emsculpt is a new device that enlarges the buttocks muscles while giving a lift.None of the above options will give an equivalent result to a BBL (Fat Transfer) if you are looking for a sizeable volume increase.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
Yes, PMMA is what Bellafill uses to create volume. I can be used in the butt (I haven't) however it would require a very large amount. This becomes not economically feasible for most people. Sculptra will last 5-7 years or more in this region.
Yes, you can use it for butt lifts however the volume is very small. It all comes down to the cost benefit ratio. Most specialist will use their own formulation of Sculptra. This provides the most amount of volume with the lest expense (relatively speaking in context of no- fat transfer fillers). All the best, Davin S. Lim
Bellafill is a wrinkle filler that comes in 1 cc or ml syringes filled to 0.8 cc. The PMMA that is in each syringe is a very small amount (0.01 cc) or about 2 drops. The rest of each syringe (0.07 cc) is simply bovine cartilage. Buttock augmentation is usually done with 300 cc or more of fat. To do a buttock augmentation with Bellafill, although theoretically possible, the cost would be prohibitive and the injections would have to be spaced out over a couple of years in order to get that much Bellafill to work properely.I hope that helps.Best regards
Small volume injections of filler, including Bellafill, immediately underneath the bridge of the nose can result in lifting of the tip. Also, injection of Botox into the nasialis muscle under the bridge of the nose can also lead to some lifting of the tip. The combination of these two can i...
It is important you see a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in penile enhancement and rejuvenation. Penile enhancement is something I do everyday. I inject particular dermal fillers with a specialized technique in the penis to achieve enhancement and enlargement, lasting around 10...
The results one gets from any filler injection are extremely injector dependent as well as location dependent. For instance, Bellafill works best if it is injected superficially, just under the skin, and not into the deeper layer where many injectors are taught to inject other products like ...
