BBL and IPL use a broad range of wavelengths, some of which will be absorbed by the hair follicles causing hair reduction. These instruments has specific filter for hair reduction and are frequently used for hair removal. You need to be aware if you are using BBL or IPL for skin rejuvenation that it may effect hair growth in the treated area. This is important for men who have facial treatments but may not want hair removal.

BBL stands for broad band light and is Scitons version of an IPL. In the right patient - light skinned with dark hair - it can reduce facial beard hair as with any IPL
