The short answer is no, BBL (Broad Band Light) doesn't cause fat loss. BBL is a great treatment for reds, browns, tone, texture and collagen building. We recommend a series of 3, and then once or twice a year after that to maintain your results.
Hi Amanda333, Broad Band Light is a great treatment to rejuvenate your skin if you are looking for something to even out your skin tone, reduce irregular pigmentation, reduce vascular imperfections like redness on the cheeks or around the noses area. It also helps with fine lines and, depending on the protocols and filters used, it stimulates collagen. The result is an overall healthier-looking appearance, more radiance, more youthful skin and softer skin. It is typically a no-downtime treatment which is why it is so popular in our clinic. Fat loss is not possible unless someone unqualified really did something with the settings that is not in the protocols. Hope this helps, Manish Khanna, MD FRCPC.
