Hi there, I recently went in for a BBL Forever Clear treatment which is my third so far and the doctor suggested doing around my eyes including lids. She I'm sure changed the settings and the head used on the device but my question is is BBL safe to be used like this for pigmentation around the eyes?
Hello! I'm 41 with rosacea on my cheeks, nose and forehead. I was told I'm a Fitzpatrick 4. I'm mixed, but predominantly of Native American and Balkan ancestry. The esthetician is doing a patch test on me next month for BBL. She thinks it would work well on my red and brown spots. But I'm wondering if I should instead look into a PDL? Which could be more effective for rosacea on brown skin? Thank you in advance.
I had 2 treatments of BBL laser for redness and broken capillaries on my face. After both treatments my face seemed to be less red and couldnt see the capillaries. 2-3 days after treatment the redness appears and the broken capillaries reappear and look like they multiply. I am 12 weeks post my last treatment and do not see any improvement. My doctor has prescribed azealic acid for the redness but this isnt helping. Is my skin perm damaged and is there anything you can recommend please.
I am pale skinned-so 1 on the fitzpatrick scale and in the past chemical peels have given me post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. I have a little left and redness, so I was hoping to get BBL. One dermatologist told me he thinks I would probably get hyperpigmentation from this laser due to this. Another says, I would be a good canditate. I wondered opinions on this? Thanks!
I have had BBL (Broad band laser) treatments at least 2 or 3 times which did not seem to touch the redness and sun damage on my chest. I have also had IPL which didn't do anything. I have very thin skin and always cover it up in the sun now. It will look as red as this in the dead of winter. It blanches when I press on itfyi, so it clearly seems to be capillaries close to surface. What about Excel V laser by Cutera? Is there any hope with lasers? Is bleaching cream too toxic or even effective?
I am interested in BBL forever young treatment for dark spots and sun damage. I have 2 options one is from Alma (harmony dye rejevunation) and the other one is from Sciton, what is the difference between the 2? I cant find enough info online.
I had a full series of both IPL and BBL in the hopes of reducing brown spots and redness on my face. I do see a reduction in the redness, although I still have some broken capillaries on my cheeks. But the biggest issue for me is that the brown spots appear unchanged, or only minimally lighter, and I believe my practitioners used strong settings. I've been told I'm a perfect candidate for BBL because of my very white Irish skin, but is there something else I should try? Are these spots fixable?
I scheduled a bbl laser treatment with a dr who I had a short consult with about something else. Their coordinator prescribed numbing cream with barely any directions to apply prior to the procedure then add plastic wrap. Upon following up about if the plastic wrap could enable toxicity etc she just said not to use it but didnt address my questions.
I'm in my mid-forties with Fitzpatrick 2 skin. I have lots of freckles and sun damage on my arms. I recently had broad band light to my forearms. Since it was my first treatment the esthetician used conservative settings. None of my pigment got darker, but I did get petechia on both arms. It wasn't a significant amount, but a few patches on each arm. Is this a concern for futures treatments that will be done at higher settings? I am not taking any blood thinning medications.
Ive had IPL treatments done in the past that yielded significant peppering on my face. I had a BBL treatment a while back and there was no peppering at all. Does peppering equal results or will the pigmented area still fade without visible darkening after the treatment? Im considering buying a package deal and Id like to understand if improvements occur even without the telltale darkening of spots immediately after the treatment. Thanks for any responses.
