Bad Labia/vagina swelling after Smart Lipo! (Photo)

Question

Hi, I got laser lipo 3 days ago around my my abs/ love handles/ back/ arms area. Swelling around those areas seem normal even around the puvic area since I got incisions close to there but I'm really scared about the swelling around my labia/ vagina area. At first I thought it was the garment that was making it swell up because it's a whole body garment but when I took it of my genital area was still really puffy and dark! What's happening how do I make it better??

Thank you for your question. The swelling is completely normal following liposuction to the abdomen. The fluid tends to collect in this area, especially if you are wearing an abdominal binder. This will resolve with time.Best of Luck,

It is common to develop swelling in genital area after abdomen lipo. Elevate your pelvis when you lie down if it bothers you. It's temporary and will improve.

This is a normal occurrence after the surgery you had done. It is normal for this area to become swollen as things heal. I would let your provider know you are experiencing this. It should correct itself shortly.

This swelling is very common after having the areas treated which you've listed. It will resolve within a few days as the general swelling of your treated areas subsides and your compression garment is discontinued.

no treatment is required. don't take or ask for any fluid pills. just give it time and it will return to normal but allow 1-2 weeks. good luckdavid berman md

This is normal, especially after the areas you had liposuction.  The fluids tend to drain/ settle in that area.  It is good you have the whole body garment, because I find this can be worse with just an abdominal wrap.  You may try placing a pad in the garment to help, and elevate your pelvis when you lie down.  
Biggest part is to give it time.  It will go away.
