How soon after BBL can you get butt implants?

I had BBL and it did not give me the look I wanted. I did not have enough fat to begin with, but my PS recommended BBL over implants. How soon can I get butt implants after BBL? I read a girls review on here that said she got butt implants 8 months after BBL and her body rejected the implant because the fat wasn't settled yet...could this happen?

Regarding buttock augmentation surgery, let me start off by saying that I currently see at least 2 - 3 patients, domestic and international,  per week that failed "brazilian buttock lift" (i.e. the majority of fat melted away after 10 - 12+ months and/or the projection result was grossly insufficient) and are now seeking a more reliable and permanent option (i.e. buttock implants).  Because it takes a full 9 - 12+ months for most of the fat to melt away and the micro-inflammation to dissapate, ideally one waits ~ 12 months before undergoing buttock implants. This being said, in very select cases, i have placed buttock implants in as early as 6 months post BBL with great results.  Glad to help.

If a BBL has already been performed, I ask patients to wait a few months after a BBL. However, a BBL can be done at the same time as buttock implants. . Please be sure to choose a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who specializes in this procedure and is well known for it.

You can get Butt implants one month after a BBL as the fat restablishes its footing and will not be affected by an implant. For your information, we actually perform BBL and butt implants at the same time. Also, using Vaser liposuction, you can get twice as much fat as traditional liposuction. A consultation with a butt specialist is critical for you to make the correct decision.
