I have long hip dips which gives my a triangular body shape and narrow hips. I want to have a more feminine hourglass shape that looks natural. Fat injections don't interest me due to my lack of fat. Moreover, I want to get surgery to correct this. What would need to be done and how much would it probably cost? I cropped my background because privacy and same with making it black and white
Answer: Filling in the dips in the hips Butt implants placed subfascially would help some with the hips and the rounding out your contour. In cases like yours, I like to combine techniques and augment the area with implants and fat. I would perform liposuction on your lower back area and the flanks for fat harvest. I then add it into the dips that the implants don't correct. As always and in patient consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon that is experienced in these procedure is recommended.

Answer: BBL or Butt Implants with Fat Transfer? Thanks for your question. Butt implants will not fix hip dips. Fat transfer would be the best procedure to fill in your hips. In addition, butt implants can be combined with fat transfer for optimal results. That said, it's difficult to provide you with a proper recommendation without pictures from the front and side. I suggest you schedule a consult for a proper evaluation. Always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Moises Salama MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Sub fascial butt implants Dear Sara, Thanks for posting your picture. The answer to your question is 'yes' as long as your surgeon is experienced with the sub fascial technique for butt implants surgery. This technique allows placement of the implants laterally, filling up the 'hips' dip' . The other technique - sub muscular or intra muscular , are unable to achieve that goal. Fat injection to the butt is a waste of time and money, because the fat disappear completely or almost completely with in few months or even sooner. I have seen it in my practice on many patients (over 150) who came for butt implants surgery after their big disappointment from the fat injection procedure that was done by other surgeons ( I do no do it !) Always consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive with nice 'S' curve, nice projection, round hips, well hidden single low scar and natural look. Best of luck, Dr Widde
