How soon after a 35% TCA peel can you use skincare products with AHAs in it?

I want to use Estee Lauder's Idealist Skin Tone Illuminator to fade spots, but I know too much exfoliating can thin your skin out if you've just had a TCA peel.

Once the skin has epithelialized, it is ok to use an exfoliating cream. In our office, we advise patients to begin Melarase creams (Melarase AM and Melarase PM) to help reduce pigmentation after a chemical peel. Best, DR. Karamanoukian Los Angeles

Thanks for your question. The 35% TCA is a fairly aggressive peel. I would advise to err on the side caution and wait 10-14 days before applying any products with active ingredients. Hope this helps.

I think you should ask your dermatologist about this, I typically have people wait 1-2 weeks after exfoliation to start any active skin care. But growth factors and peptides can help give immediate improvement.  Best, Dr. Emer.

As you know after a 35% TCA peel after an acetone scrub, you WILL take 8-9 days to heal. This is a natural process. Your skin will be super sensitive for another week or two, so I would gradually introduce AHA and Vitamin A , B and C s two weeks after TCA.
