I am 25. I regularly hear I look 28-35. I hate it. But I don't seem to have wrinkles, I use SPF, tretinoin, and I don't tan. My questions: 1.) Do I actually look older than my age? How much? If so, what causes it? 2.) Would fillers make me look my age? 3.) In the age comparison photo, how badly have I aged since 18? 4.) If I look older than my age now, does that mean I will age badly as I get older? 5.) Any non-invasive things that could help me look younger? I've been on retin-a for 6 mo

Hi OL,I'd say you look about 43....just kidding, you look beautiful for a 38 year old...just kidding again, you don't look a day over 37....okay so that's the last time I'll kid with you.  You look your age and you are beautiful.  Unfortunately from age 25 on, we all begin to lose volume (bone and fat) from our face, and it's a bit downhill from there.  If you were my patient I would give you just a touch of fillers strategically placed, I am thinking a little Voluma and a little Sculptra.  There are some other non-invasive treatments that can also keep you looking your youthful best.  The most important aspect of your treatment is making sure that you choose your treating physician most carefully to avoid the wrong treatments that can result in making a beautiful young woman such as yourself appear matronly!  Choose your physician based on their skill, reputation, experience, and most of all their natural artistic vision. you look great and all you need is a combination of conservative treatments with fillers place meticulously, clear + brilliant laser or the like (sublative RF) for texture tone and prevention of wrinkles, botox, and venus legacy to lifting.  there are many things you can do along with skin care to look younger and prevent further aging.  you just need to find someone with experience who is conservative and can work with you long term to meet your goals. You look beautiful for your age and need nothing. There are many people who have a mature look and actually do not look older as they age. Very often at 45 they look similar to how they looked at 25.

Hi OL.  We don't think you look old!  You look perfectly normal for a 25 year old.  Your cheek volume is excellent, facial structure is very good and brows and lips look great.  If we were to pick two things that may help, here they are.  First, Latisse.  Your lashes are a bit small and do not accentuate your eyes they way they could if they were longer and thicker.  Latisse is an excellent product to make that happen and many or most that use it no longer need mascara.Now, this is by no means necessary because your appearance is very normal for a 25 year old, but if there is any volume loss under the eyes (hollowing or darkening), then you may be a candidate for a tear trough injection with a dermal filler called Restylane. I looked at your photos and, honestly, I had a difficult time seeing much difference between your photos between age 18 and 25. When I look closely, you have some hollowing in the tear trough region. At most, I would consider a dermal filler such as Restylane to put in the tear troughs around the eyes. This would get rid of the hollowness that forms around the eyes. Find an experienced facial plastic surgeon who can give you options. Good luck!

The marketing that Filler companies do that promise looking 3-5 years younger is generally targeted at those 45+ years of age who have lost some facial volume and have some wrinkling. Much of how we look (age wise) has to do with attitude, how we dress and hair. It sounds like you are doing all the right things for your skin already. Don't get me wrong, fillers is a big part of my business and I love doing them -- but if you don't need them, apply them where you don't need them will just make you look fake. To me, fake looks like someone old trying to look young.

Hi, based upon the attached photos, yes your face has aged particularly in the area of the cheeks.  At 18, your cheeks were full, round and youthful.  Presently, that fatty tissue of the cheeks has gone and the cheeks appear flat making the face more rectangular shaped and elongated.  This is what's making your face appear older than your age in my humble opinion.  Cheek Augmentation to augment the anterior (front portion) of the cheeks can be done with dermal fillers (I prefer Perlane) or with Cheek Implants for a more permanent augmentation.  When aesthetically shaped, the cheeks can transform a rectangular-shaped and elongated face into a more aesthetically feminine, youthful and naturally attractive heart-shaped face.
