Hi please help I'm 3 weeks post op and scared my breasts are too big, will they get smaller? I have 270cc over the muscle. Also will the implants drop and my nipples get higher?

Answer: Post op swelling Thank you for the question.Yes your breasts are very likely to get smaller. You are very early in the post op recovery phase and your breast appear very swollen. They will continue to change especially over the next 6-8 weeks. It takes up to a year before they fully settle and at this stage you can expect to have the final result.

Answer: 3 weeks post op, will my breasts get smaller? (photo) Congratulations! Don't worry, you are just 3 weeks post-op and your breasts should change a lot over the next several months. You may still be experiencing some swelling and your implants should drop over the next few months so try to be patient. Keep in mind that it can take anywhere from 3-6 months because everyone is different when it comes to healing. As your implants drop, yes, your nipples should move up to a more central location and your breasts will change shape as they will fill out more toward the bottom. Continue following your post-op instructions and re-evaluate over the next few months. Good luck! ac

Answer: 3 weeks post op Swelling after surgery usually subsides over a 3-6 weeks period. Without having pre op photos it's hard to believe that these are truly 270 cc but you may have a very petite body frame. With regard to nipple position, yrs, the implants should drop down to the pocket but you with need to massage aggressively as specified by your surgeon.

Answer: Kenneth D. Christman, M.D. Yes, your breasts do appear quite large for only 270 cc implants. Are you certain that is the size of the implants? How large were you prior to the surgery? Unfortunately, your breasts are not likely to decrease in size unless your implants are saline implants and they deflate. Your breasts will sag over time, and the nipples will droop more as well.If you wanted your nipples higher without an increase in breast size, a good option would have been a mastopexy procedure (breast lift), which does indeed elevate the nipples. This might still be an excellent option for you.
