I’m a 33 y/o woman w/ 2 kids who has already had vaserlipo w/ renuvion and a fat transfer to my breasts about a year and a half ago. I continued to lose weight around the year mark and all the fat that was transferred is gone. I’m ok with my stomach for the most part but the stretch marks makes the skins texture look weird to me as it’s still lose as well and I would like it to be tighter. I guess I am wondering if I even am a good candidate and what kind of results to expect.
Answer: Tummy Tuck Candidate Thanks for your question. From your pictures you seem to be a good candidate for a tummy tuck. At my practice, the tummy tuck includes liposuction of the flanks and muscle repair. Being as close to your ideal weight is always recommended. The results would be a flat stomach and a shaped waistline for an hourglass figure. I suggest scheduling a consult for a proper evaluation. Always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Moises Salama MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Evaluating Suitability for a Tummy Tuck Procedure Hello, Thank you for your question regarding whether you're a good candidate for a tummy tuck and what you should expect with your results. I appreciate your history and pictures, although I must admit I'm a little confused about your specific wishes. In one part, you say you are "OK with my stomach for the most part," but then later on, you express a desire for it to be tighter. To achieve your best cosmetic results, you require a full abdominoplasty. During this procedure, excess skin and fat from the pubic region to above the umbilicus will be permanently removed. Most, but not all, of your stretch marks will be eliminated. The rectus abdominis muscle will be sewn and tightened from the sternum down to the pubic region. Additionally, fat can be removed directly through surgical excision or with liposuction. You should expect a flat tummy, tight core, and elevated and reduced pubic region. I believe you would be an excellent candidate for a tummy tuck. I would not recommend any more liposuction, as your skin has stretch marks, and this is an indication of potentially poor results with liposuction alone. I hope I have answered your questions regarding whether you're a good candidate for a tummy tuck. Feel free to reach out if you need further clarification. Sincerely, Dr. J. Timothy Katzen, MD, FACS, FICS

Answer: Tummy tuck Dear mcwilliams90, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Tummy tuck Thanks for your question! I do think you would be a candidate for a tummy tuck to get rid of any remaining loose skin. You may have a small vertical incision due to the location of your belly button. A tummy tuck after any form of liposuction adds a layer of complexity, but I do still think you'll get a good result. Good luck!

Answer: What to expect from a tummy tuck for results Dear mcwilliams90, Based on your photos, you appear to be able to benefit from a tummy tuck. This procedure would help remove the lower abdominal pouch, tighten abdominal muscles, tighten the waist, flatten the stomach and remove stretch marks. A great way to get an idea of what results to expect would be by looking at your surgeon's before and after results. I recommend seeing a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in tummy tucks and body contouring for a consult.
