I am 3 weeks post op with high profile 460cc silicone breast augmentation and mini tummy tuck. I am not satisfied with my tummy tuck results, for the simple fact that I still have a lot of strecth marks. Also I have rippling on my incsion line and my belly but seems over to the right a little to far. Do you recommend me getting the areola reduction and a full tummy tuck? I am 5'4 135 pounds and 26 years old, with three kids.
Answer: Timing for Revisionary Mommy Makeover Surgery?
There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to timing for revision mommy makeover surgery. Both for physical and psychological “adaptation” reasons, I suggest patients wait approximately 6 months ( at least) prior to proceeding with revisionary surgery. Sometimes, this type of surgery can be performed sooner after careful evaluation of a patient's specific situation/condition/ concerns.
Best wishes.

Answer: Reduction of an areola is part of a mastopexy.
If you want a breast augmentation and reduction of an areola, a combination of mastopexy plus concurrent placement of the breast implant will solve the problem.

Answer: How Long Do I Have to Wait to Get Areola Reduction?
Hello and thanks for your post and photos. In my practice, I would recommend waiting 6 months for an implant that size. See what your PS recommends. Best wishes, Dr. Aldo.

Answer: How Long Do I Have to Wait to Get Areola Reduction After Breast Augmentation?
Breast issues--It would be helpful to have seen preop photos. I do agree that at some point you would do well to have another procedure to reduce the areolar size and to lift the breasts. But I would wait 3 to 6 months from surgery to allow the implants to settle, and for the skin to relax. Were you do do that surgery now, the implants may move enough that areolar placement will be less than ideal. In addition, the closure would be tight enough that the scar would be wide, and the areolas might stretch out more
Abdomen issues.--Again pre op photos would be helpful. From the photos it appears that you have had a full TT and the closure looks reasonably tight. It is not always possible to remove all the stretch marks, particularly those which may have started above the navel. There simply is not enough unmarked skin to stretch out and reach the incision. Irregularities at the ends are not uncommon,.and often with wound remodelling they resolve without surgery. The alternative would have been carrying the TT incision around the back as a belt lipectomy. The irregularities on the incision lines are also common--at closure, the bottom of the closure is close to a straight line, the upper part a semi-circle that is longer, and therefore the closure is uneven. But these "gathers" or "pleats" disappear as the incision remodels during wound healing. As to position of the navel, I can't tell from these photo, since there are not enough landmarks visible in the photo to figure out where the midline is.
All the best. Follow up with your surgeon, and share all your concerns.

Answer: How Long Do I Have to Wait to Get Areola Reduction After Breast Augmentation?
My personal rule is waiting 3 months post operatively. This allows better settling and healing of the populated areas. I must confess it appears as if you HAD a FULL TUMMY TUCK, because I see suture areas around your umbilicus! Please expound on why you believe you had a mini TT? Also I agree the lateral side were left bunched so the dog ear possibility exists. Again allow 3 months of healing. Was your surgeon a boarded PS?
