Saline implant breast aug. So disappointed w/my results, I cry daily. This is not the size that I wanted not the shape that I wanted. I wanted larger and round shaped. I received 68HP saline implants. I'm told my final fill was L/240cc and R/270cc. Previous asymmetry problem remains. R is still much smaller than L. So incredibly disappointed with my results. The asymmetry has been visible since I first looked 1 day post-op. Any advice on how long I must wait to get corrective procedure?
Answer: How long until I can have a revisional procedure? Too small & the wrong shape. I'm so disappointed. Devastated Thank you for your pictures and questions. Generally speaking, it takes 3 months for everything to settle and to see the final results. So I would recommend waiting at least that long before going back for a revision procedure. Also reviewing your pre-op photos and goals would be very helpful. This sounds to me like a communication problem between you and your surgeon. Either they were not listening to your goals or you were not being honest with yourself about what you really wanted. Either way, it is likely a problem that can be fixed with better communication and a revision. Best of luck! Dallas Buchanan, MD VIVIFY plastic surgery Tampa, FL

Answer: Surgery You do need to give your tissue time to heal and ;let all the swelling subside. Once settled, up to 6 months, then discuss any concerns you have with your surgeon and the solutions. Right now, please discuss your concerns with your surgeon. Also, look at your before photos. You may now see more asymmetry than you did before now that your breasts are larger.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear SKIN.DEEP, I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. You will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery. Most surgeons will recommend you to wait 6 months prior to revision surgery. Answer: Simple implant surgery was just not enough for your case. The operation itself does not seem to be very wrong, and it is highly likely that the original sternum width was inserted, the intermammary span was wide, the subcutaneous fat was small, and there was asymmetry of the chest wall, nipple level, and IMF level. It is important to know that simple implant surgery does not solve these problems perfectly, and the size of the implant must be determined in consideration of the patient's condition. The simple implant surgery was just not enough in your case. It seems that it is possible to use a slightly larger implant with reoperation, and it seems that it is possible to reduce the intermammary span a little, improve the asymmetry better, and make the result a little more natural by doing fat grafting together. It is recommended to wait for 1 year after the first surgery before undergoing revision surgery. If capsular contracture or scarring is not severe, reoperation may be performed a little earlier, but it should be performed at least 6 months after the first operation.

Answer: Corrective Procedure I would wait a full year to perform revisionary surgery. This would include deflating the implants in clinic under local prior to placing new silicone gel implants to let the tissue rest and recover.
