I comprehend that you pay for the anesthesiologist & the surgery itself but what about the hospital room bill. If you have insurance do they cover it since you are there to recover?

There are 3 charges that factor in the cost of a  rhinoplasty. These are the anesthesiologist fees, surgeons fee and operating room fee.  The rhinoplasty  is paid for by the patient, while  any functional related surgeries  such as a septoplasty  is billed to the patient's insurance. Co-pays and deductibles will still apply for insurance related charges

If you have a rhinoplasty for functional reasons that is being covered by insurance, then the hospital fees should be as well.  Check with your insurance company.

The cosmetic components of the nasal surgery will not be covered by insurance.  The components that interfere with your breathing should be covered by your insurance.  Your doctor needs to document your condition for the insurance company in order to help with the reimubursement.
