Can my bad columella scar be fixed with scar revision?

Generally most swelling/lumpiness/pinkness will fade over time and most columellar scars heal very well. However, if the scar looks terrible at 7 weeks, the improvement with time may not get you to the point that you are happy. So, in rare circumstances I will revise a scar sooner than normal. Yes, you could fix the drooping columella at the same time, although I typically correct this by shortening the caudal septum through a full transfixion incision (different incision than the columellar one). I understand your concerns. Closure and healing of the columella incision is an important part of rhinoplasty and recovery. However, it is still very early in this process. It is likely that there is still some swelling in the tip tissues, and, as this goes down, the columella will look better. A follow up appointment with your surgery is strongly advised. In some cases, this incision will need to be revised or treated with laser. Generally this is not done for a few months after the surgery. Best of luck.

All wounds require time to be fully healed and scar reviswions should be delayed till they are healed or in some situations the scarring can be worse. I would be paatient as things may improve but I am certain your inital surgeon will correct the problem if it persists
