Is it normal for my incision to be red and irritated after stitches are removed? (photo)

I had my stitches removed two days ago and the incision look redder and when I put on bacitracin it burns. Any recommendation on what to put on it to help with the redness. Also, can I go in a sauna?

Generally most swelling/lumpiness/pinkness will fade over time and most columellar scars heal very well. However, if the scar looks terrible at 7 weeks, the improvement with time may not get you to the point that you are happy. So, in rare circumstances I will revise a scar sooner than normal....

Your nostril narrowing scars may be difficult to treat. I would suggest visiting your surgeon, or another reputable rhinoplasty specialist to see what might be best for you.I wish you well.Dr. Joseph
