Just had CoolScultping - can I use a heating pad?

Yes, you can use a heating pad. Oral neurontin and diuretics can help any discomfort. Keep in mind, for best results with Coolsculpting, a combination approach is needed. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. Hello,Thank you for your question. Using a heating pad will not interfere with your treatment. Just keep in mind that you may be numb in the area, and you want to make sure you don't burn yourself. if you just had coolsculpting, i would not use heat. after any procedure which injures tissue there is a period of inflammation and swelling. using heat  increases the swelling and inflammation and may actually cause more pain and slow down your healing

I recommend takin some extra strength tylenol or Alleve or Motrin if you are having some discomfort from the Coolsculpting procedure.  A heating pad shouldn't interfere with the procedure. Best, Dr. Green

The Coolsculpting technique utilises a process as cryolipolysis: the fat cells in your body are known to freeze at a different temperature to other, healthy cells. The body’s natural processes then break down and eliminate the fat cells over the next few weeks and months. As your fat cells have already sustained the cold injury, they will undergo cryolipolysis no matter what you do now; the heat pack shouldn’t make a difference. Simple pain killers such as paracetamol may also be helpful for you.
