I have a mole directly on my lash line, is it safe to remove? What procedure is recommended? (photos)

I've had this mole since I was about 4-5, now I am 21. It's now fairly large and I would like to get it removed. I am just worried if the procedure would be safe considering the mole is very close to my eye and is slightly visible in the interior skin.

I suggest returning to your physician for an in person evaluation. Silicone based scar gels can be used to help prevent scarring. Lasers will help improve the outcome long term.  Best, Dr. Emer

There are many options for treatment including shave removal with laser or dessication will give improvement. Scarring will be minimal and can be treated with lasers and microneedling. APN's can perform excisions, but I suggest consulting with a board certified dermatologist for treatment...

Liz,It should be easy enough to remove that and while there may be a somewhat increased chance of infection of the area, if you keep some antibiotic ointment on it and use good hygiene it should heal just fine.
