Is it normal to still feel tightness a year after muscle repair & can I reverse it?

I had a tummy tuck with muscle repair a year ago and I still feel tightness in my stomach. A couple of nights ago something popped on one side and now I have pain in the opposite side of my back. I feel more range of motion now on the side that popped. Is this normal, can you reverse muscle repair? I honestly didn't need it. I only needed skin straightening.
