Breast feeding is an important time in the first 6 to 18 months in a baby's life. Regardless of whether you have liposuction with only local anesthesia or with general or IV sedation, the medications that are used for the mother are not safe for a breast-fed baby. Enjoy this special time in your life and delay an elective cosmetic procedure until after weaning your baby.
