This is not a normal presentation after liposuction and should be immediately seen by your surgeon or an emergency room physician. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian
If you are bleeding you should see a physician or go to the emergency room as soon as possible, especially if it is bright red blood and/or constant. It is impossible for laser liposuction that is performed properly to cause this type of reaction. Best, Dr. Emer.
Bleeding from your rectum is not a complication from liposuction. However, liposuction is surgery and surgery is stress. Using narcotics can make you more constipated and encourage hemorrhoids. I would suggest seeing your family doctor and being evaluated. Don't just assume it is from a hemorrhoid.
Your anal bleeding is eithera) a hemorrhoid (best case scenario)b) perforated bowel during the procedure (highly unlikely) in which case you would have other symptoms that are much more severe such as high fever, unbearable abdominal pain, etc. this would be a medical emergencyc) if you have a history of ulcers, you may have exacerbated your ulcers if you took a lot of NSAIDs to control your pain after your laser liposuction procedureI'm guessing and hoping that the bleeding is unrelated to your laser liposuction procedure and hope you're doing well
Typically, anal bleeding has nothing to do with laser liposuction.Rectal bleeding is most commonly due to hemorrhoids, but there are other serious conditions that can cause it.The only way laser liposuction could cause rectal bleeding is if one of the cannulas was pushed into the abdomen and perforated the colon.Best of luck,Mats Hagstrom, M.D.
Hi, for your guidance, patients should be aware that liposuction is NOT a method of weight loss and muscle toning, or an alternative to diet and exercise. It does not affect one's metabolism. Regular exercise and diet is still recommended in maintaining good and lasting liposuction results. Whe...
I am not aware of any scientific studies that prove laser lipo contracts the skin. I do hear a lot of advertising from the people who buy these expensive machines that it does and there are several very beautiful glossy advertisements that claim it does as well. If it works for you,...
Your marks do not appear to be from thermal injury. If they were burns, they would most likely have blistered. The patterns of your skin trauma are a bit unusual. You should absolutely follow up with your surgeon.Best of luck,Mats Hagstrom, M.D.
