So I pretty much have like a male chest it’s flat. Has some fat but I wanted to get my breast done the size I was thinking was D cup. is it too early to do this? And if I did what would be the cons of doing this prematurely

Hello and thank you for your question. Yes, you can have breast implants even if you have a flat chest. However, there are natural limits on the size of implants you can have based on your existing skin and muscle tissues. If you desire a larger-sized implant, tissue expanders can be used to stretch the skin and muscle, allowing for a somewhat larger size implant to be placed. However, starting out with a very large size may lead to complications later, such as shifts in the position of the implant on the chest, leading to suboptimal results. Your pectoral muscles will limit the size of the implants, requiring an initial surgery to stretch the muscles and the skin. The second surgery is to remove the stretching device, called a tissue expander, and your D-cup implants are inserted. Sometimes the solution can be reached with a single surgery if you place the implants on top of your pectoral muscles.

Yes, sure you can get breast implants. The recommended placement is behind the muscle, in order to prevent the outline of the implant from resulting too sharp or evident, because you have almost no gland development.
My preferred approach would be to make the incision in the armpit, so the resulting scar remains hidden.

Some measurements of your chest would be necessary for a better assessment, but according to my experience, probably 400/450cc implants could be used.

While it is common to do breast implants in flat chested patients (both male and female), there is often a realistic limit to the size. It depends a lot of the elasticity of the existing tissues and your end goal. While it is certainly possible you will not be able to fully reach your desired proportion in the first surgery, there is no question that you can achieve a VERY noticeable change.

Hi Thank you for your question!
It is certainly possible for you to get breast implants now - but bringing you all the way up to a D cup unfortunately may be impossible. This is because your skin may be too tight and there may simply not be enough space to fit an implant. The other downside of going big so fast is you may not have the prettiest result in the long run- for example the implant may slip down the chest giving an unnatural look. I advise all my transgender women patients to allow the hormones to do their job first. Many transgender women will get significant growth of their breasts in the first 2 years after starting hormones. You have 2 options as I see it- 1 find a surgeon experienced in feminizing a transgender woman's chest and accept that you may not get the fullness you hoped for or 2 if you haven't already allow the hormones to do their thing!
