I would recommend waiting at least 10-14 days before resuming your exercise routines. Start your programs slowly and advance as tolerated. The worst thing you can do is to overdo the intensity (and to start too soon) because it can cause more swelling and even create bruising/hematoma due to the increased heart rate and higher blood pressure. If you do have increased swelling after exercise, back off the workouts and allow the tissue to heal. There are a lot of milder, less strenuous exercises that you can do til you are ready to go full on, sue as isometrics, light weights, mild cardio exercise...Good luck and be sensible with your approach...don't rush it!
Thanks for the question. After 3-4 month your operation area is totally healed and yes you can go gym and also do other sport activities. I wish you all the best.
This is something to discuss with your surgeon who knows you best. For my patients, I want them to wait 4 to 6 weeks and then advance slowly. Good luck.
Recovery time from a #facelift varies from person to person, but patients can generally expect to be presentable within three weeks from surgery. Patients should expect #swelling, #bruising, and #discoloration of the skin during this phase of recovery (swelling normally goes down after 48 hours; most bruising will go away within two weeks). The marks from a facelift are noticeable at first, but are easily hidden with a bit of “camouflage” make-up which our staff teaches our patients how to use. The #scars from a facelift mature within six to twelve months from the surgery date. It is during this time that the rejuvenating effects of the facelift will become apparent and the real result will be seen. Most patients who have had Lite Lifts™ feel reasonably normal within 2-4 days after surgery even though they are swollen. If you wish to do light office work, you may. Do not, however, do any heavy activities or aerobic #exercise for at least 3 weeks after surgery! Strenuous #activities can cause bleeding and swelling for a longer period than is necessary.
After a facelift, some mild activity isrecommended. Gentle movement helps the body heal by increasing circulation andoxygen flow. A short stroll or relaxed stretching can be a great relief duringthe early days of healing. However, jogging, biking, or any rigorous cardio exerciseshould be discontinued until about 3 weeks after your surgery. If you swim, youshould avoid the pool for about 2 weeks. Check with your surgeon beforere-starting or starting an exercise routine.
I allow my patients to resume cardio workouts about two weeks after a facelift. Running is disallowed but a stairmaster recumbent bike are legitimate alternatives.
We tell our patients to refrain from vigorous exercise for at least a month after a facelift, but this is not the complete answer. Just as important is the manner in which they resume their exercise regimens. Very often when patients return to the gym, they feel they "have to make up for lost time." As a result, they "hit it hard" the first time they return to their athletic pursuits. This is a recipe for problems. The key is a graduated return to exercise, beginning with a very light program initially, where the patient is just "going through the motions" of their sport or workout, without significant exertion. Over a two week period, patients should gradually return to full exertion in their sport or exercise regimen.
The short answer is that a 2 week break from moderate exercise is advisable after Facelift. If you lift weights, would advise waiting until 4 weeks postop.

In general I have my patients walking around the house immediately, but I instruct them to make sure to keep their heart rate and blood pressure low by avoiding strenuous activity for 2 weeks.I also give my patients instructions based on their procedures. After one week you can walkBetween week 1-12 you can walk brisklyAfter 2 week two weeks you can jogIn three weeks you can lift weights, but start slowly
