How long does it take to not feel like your skin is ripping because it was pulled so tight from your body lift?

Thank you for your question regarding how long it takes until your skin stops feeling like it's ripping after your lower body lift. Every patient is different, and every patient heals differently. Most patients do not feel like their skin is ripping after a 360-body lift. However, if this is the case, it may take 2-3 weeks before the sensation decreases. I would suggest you explain the severity of your pain to your plastic surgeon, and maneuvers can be made to minimize this. This can entail pain killers, muscle relaxers, compression garments, and even a massage. All in all, this feeling will subside, but it is dependent entirely on the patient and their feeling. It takes significant time for the skin and soft tissues to get strong again.  It is highly variable depending on the patient and some people take longer to heal than others.  Having adequate vitamins, minerals and protein intake is critical for wound healing.
