Is a second time breast augmentation recovery easier and less painful then the first? If going to a larger size?

No, recovery is almost the same, I rather can say that patients need to be more carefull in a breast  2nd round. Every plastic surgeon has his or her own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients, follow all the prescriptions. I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors.It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery.

If your original implants were placed behind the muscle, then the second procedure will not be as painful since the muscles will not have to be stretched.

If your original surgery has given you a soft and natural result and you are undergoing revision for size only, recovery will often be simple and uncomplicated. Often, patients have little or no pain and are back to day to day activities in a day or two. However keep in mind there are risks to any procedure and if you already have a good result, this can change with a larger implant.
