The answer depends on the filler. If you've had sculptra then its probably safe, if you had silicone or other injections from a questionable injector (as is unfortunately the case with most butt injections) then the risk of infection when performing a BBL would be incredibly high. The only way to know for sure is to book a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to see what your options are. Best of luck!
It's probably fine to get a BBL when you have fillers. BUT the thing to realize is the filler will dissolve and you will have a loss of volume over time. You will then likely want a second BBL. It is likely better to wait for the filler to resolve, then proceed with the BBL. As always, be sure to research who is doing your procedure to increase the chances of getting a desirable result.
Dear Peachezzzz,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. It will depend on type of filler, amount of filler, location, etc. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
I see two or three patients a week who have had injections of something into their buttocks. Many times they are unsure of the product. Silicone may pose an unnecessary risk to fat transfer in this situation. In the past, I have cut these areas out and then fat grafted in the future. If the silicone has been injected in the distant past without difficulty, then fat transfer may be appropriate. However, the patient should understand that there is probably an increased risk of problems following the surgery.
Hello darling,This depends on what type of fillers you have. You should go on a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon and do a sonography to check where the fillers are located and what type of fillers youve got.Best of lucks.Dr. Luis Mejia.
In this context fillers is A pretty broad term. Typical fillers like Juvéderm and Restylane are typically never used for the buttocks. Foreign substances can make the BBL more difficult and can potentially cause new unfriend problems. When posting I suggest giving a more thorough history including the exact substance you were injected with.Personally I would be hesitant to do a BBL on someone who currently has fillers in place.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
