Hi there,Most surgeons will require that a patient have a BMI of 30 or below in order to ensure a safe surgery and speedy recovery. You currently have a BMI around 41. We would need to work together first to lower your BMI before you could be considered for surgery. Furthermore, I would need to see photos or perform an in person consultation to give a recommendation.Good luck!
Hi leelatoya202You are a candidate for a Brazilian butt lift surgery if you feel that these characteristics describe you. - Buttocks appears deflated and flat - Buttocks has minimal or moderate sagging - You have sufficient fat to donate or transfer. Unfortunately your BMI is too high at 41. Lipo BBL is for contouring the body and not for weight loss. A BMI over 35 increases the risks dramatically and would ultimately be unsafe. Before any plastic surgery you would need to lose weight first. Weight loss surgery, such as bariatric surgery, plus diet and exercise is your best option for now. Best of luck,Dr. Miguel Mota
Your BMI is 41.1. A BMI of 35 is probably the upper limit that a plastic surgeon would consider for this procedure. Losing 80 pounds or more and holding that weight constant for 3 months prior to surgery would decrease the risks of complications during and after surgery and enhance final results. Lipo is for contours, not weight loss. Discuss a weight loss and exercise program with your PCP to help you reach your weight goal.
Hello darling,The answer is no. You are in overweight, you should consider first to lose some pounds and reach a rasonable weight before thinking about any type of plastic surgery. This is for your well-being only. Make sure you go on a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Hope this helps and best of lucks.Dr. Luis Mejia.
Based on your BMI which is over 40, you are not good candidate for BBL surgery. Beside health risks you will also see minimal benefit of this procedure. It will require significant weight reduction before surgery to see full benefit of BBL. Good luck.
Thank you for your question. Ideal candidates for elective cosmetic surgery have a BMI of 30 or less. Your current BMI is 41.1, so it would be ideal for you to get to a weight of around 215 pounds before proceeding with surgery. Keep in mind that a contouring procedure like a BBL is not a weight loss procedure and if you are interested in losing weight, you might need to consider bariatric surgery.Hope this helps!Dallas R. Dear leelatoya202.generally speaking, you want to reach your goal weight before you consider a BBL, otherwise your results will be suboptimal if you continue to lose weight after the surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
