I have been getting 2 Syringes Of juvaderm Ultra Plus for the past year now and each time, about 5 days after the procedure my body already has started metabolizing the filler rapidly causing my lips to be back to normal within 3 weeks of the procedure. I do have a high metabolism and do break down sugar based things rather quickly. What are my options for someone who wants BIG full lips with lots of volume.
Answer: Metabolizing Lip Filler Results--Wait 2 weeks! Your initial results were most likely impacted by swelling, which takes 1-2 weeks to resolve after lip injections. It may be additional filler is needed to get your desired results. I recommend following up with your injector about your desired outcome. Hope this helps.

Answer: Lip augmentation Results with Fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Volbella), PDO Nova threads, implants fat Keep in mind, you had swelling which was impacting your initial result. These lip fillers (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good for creating a symmetrical and full lip. Nova threads can be used to improve lift and shape. Implants or fat are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert to go over your desired results. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Lip filler Some of the volume decrease that you are experiencing is probably related to resolution of swelling and edema. It is true that patients seem to break down the filler at slightly different rates. There are more permanent solutions such as Permalip implants. Fat grafting is also an option. Fat grafting typically require several treatment sessions. You are already using a fairly thick hyaluronic acid product in your lips, however there are some other hyaluronic acid options that you might try. Discuss this with your plastic surgeon. Best wishes.

Answer: Juvederm in lips. It is quite common to see a decrease of volume few days after the injection due to resolving swelling. You have many choices for lip enhancement other than Juvederm Line. There are many fillers that will last much longer although they may not be intended just for the lips. Discuss this with your doctor. Some may not want to inject filler that is not recommended for certain areas. Good luck!

Answer: Juvederm going away after lip injections The Juvederm generally should last 12-18 months. Your metabolism does play a role in how long the hyaluronic acid in the Juvederm is effective. Higher metabolism, thin body type, routine rigorous exercise all can contribute to shorten duration of Juvederm results. However, the swelling and edema after Juvederm is typically gone within two weeks. This is probably why your lips look smaller. Wait another 2-4 weeks and follow up with your provider to determine if repeat injections are needed.
