Should I be worried about my filler? (Photo)

Question

I was injected with princess filler yesterday I have suffered from severe bruising, swelling and tenderness, all round my nose is hurting a great deal too. I am worried an artery has been injected as they was fine initially then 5-10 mins after injection process finished I noticed discolouration on the one side then a lump formed that looked blue in colour it then just started getting larger eventually stopping and ending in a very large bruise looking mark.

Hello, and sorry to hear you’re having some adverse side effects after your fillers. While swelling and bruising are common after getting dermal fillers, you shouldn’t be in serious pain. Since your side effects do appear to be on the more severe side, I would suggest scheduling a follow-up appointment with your doctor for a more in-depth evaluation and treatment recommendations if necessary.

Thank you for your question.
From the pictures, and your history of swelling getting bigger, it is a bruise. Bruises on the lips takes 2 weeks to subside. You can consume arnica and ice the area to help with the healing.

Hello thank you for your question and photos. Swelling and bruising after lip injections is normal and can be more severe in some patients. You can ice your lips to ease the swelling. Your bruises will heal like any other bruise, and the tenderness and swelling should subside. If you are very concerned that this could be more severe, please visit your doctor.

From the two photos that you took of your lips, it looks like it is only a bruise. It would be better to examine you in person, but that’s what the photos appear to show. It can take up to two weeks to go away, but sometimes can take longer. Hope that helps.

However, since the pain affects other areas and there is a suspicious-looking lesion, it is best to check with your injector for potential dissolving with hyaluronidase.
