I had upper and lower ab lipo 2 weeks ago My lower Ab looks no better than before and now it's rock solid to touch I was hoping to get rid of the big pouch of fat I have always had, but made worse after csection but if anything it's worse Why is this so hard? I readlymphatic massage helps but my surgeon hasn't told me about this. I wear the compression garment 24hrs one day, next day while washed/dried I wear it 20 hours per day. now it looks like I've shelled out £3750 to look the same Help!

Answer: Post op lipo Two weeks is way too early to make any kind of a decision as to how your result is going to look. Follow the instructions of your surgeon and consider seeking out a practitioner experienced in perioperative massage. I have found the massage quite beneficial for my patients. Give it time and I am sure you will see improvement over the next number of weeks.

Answer: Normal healing process The lumpiness, swelling, itching and hardness after a surgery like you had typically persists at least 8 weeks after the surgery then slowly goes away. In my experience, daily massage of the hard areas makes the biggest difference in getting rid of it sooner rather than later. Staying away from salt will make a big difference in swelling. It can easily take 6 months or more to see results. Be sure to keep any scheduled follow up appointments you have with your surgeons for his evaluation and advice. Hope this helps.
