Question

The only concern I have is my side profile, I feel it's a bit unbalanced. I do have a gummy smile (though it's most likely hyperactive upper lip and small teeth) and I've been told that I have a narrow palate. Mild crowding but bite is normal.

First of all, you need to have a whole face analyse to make a customised treatment plan for you. When you smile, your upper gums are visible, smile aesthetics can be done if you want. Be sure that your surgeon is a professional, exprienced board certified facial plastic surgeon.Perhaps braces treatment can be applied on your teeth. You should talk to a good dentist for this. When all these procedure are performed combined and succesfuly, you can obtain your desired look. Regards.

You have a combination of both, a deficient chin as well as what we typically call dentoalveolar hyperplasia, a condition where the tooth bearing portion of your jaws (maxilla and mandible) are overdeveloped, in your case, relatively to a mild degree. If you are looking for a comprehensive management, you will need a combination of orthodontic treatment and jaw and chin surgery. This will be a prolonged treatment, primarily as the orthodontics part of it will take months to complete. This should be followed with a segmental anterior jaw surgery or osteotomy that very surgeons in UK offer. Alternatively you could get almost a similarly good result with a much simpler surgery, a chin implant that will avoid the long treatment associated with orthodontics and complex surgery.

All of your assessments seem accurate. If your gummy smile bothers you you could try Botox treatments or consider surgery. Chin augmentation if done conservatively would look great. Consider fillers or a small implant.

Overall your face is  well balanced and attractive so it’s simply up to you if you want to change your look a little bit.

By the appearance of your photographs, I believe a chin implant will be very helpful in improving your facial contour. It is relatively simple procedure can be performed under local anesthesia and the result can be very satisfactory.
