Question

I received 2 vials of Kybella in February 2020, it is now September and it looks like my chin is far worse than before! Any alternatives to Kybella? The first photo is before, the second photo is after.

In the studies using Kybella, 4-6 treatments were performed with 2-4 vials per treatment. I prefer submental liposuction which requires only one treatment. In your case,  your chin is recessive and could benefit from a simultaneous chin implant or genioplasty.

The photographs  of the side profile demonstrate a recessive chin profile and fat deposits in the neck most likely located above and below the platysma muscle.  Consider placement of a chin implant augment the chin forward for better facial balance and proportions, and a neck lift procedure to remove the fat deposits in  the neck. Liposuction will only remove deposits above the platysma muscle while surgical removal is required of the fat below the platysma muscle which also includes a platysma-plasty in the neck.

Your pictures are taken from completely different angles and you cannot compare results based on those.

You didn’t describe what the problem is from this treatment. Occasionally chemical fat destruction has had unusually effective outcomes skeletonizing peoples face which causes an irreversible excessive loss of subcutaneous fat.

Be lucky that that didn’t happen. I think saying this treatment destroyed your chin is a gross overstatement. If anything it didn’t do much which is often a common complaint of this treatment.

If you want us to make an assessment on the outcome of your treatment then you need to post consistent pictures of a much better quality.

I suggest you follow up with your provider or have a few in person consultations with local board certified plastic surgeons. Liposuction is the gold standard and when I always recommend for Chin and neck fat removal.
