I had hyaluronic acid filler injection in my upper lip and on my nasolabial folds (less than 0.4 cause the rest was used for the lip) 5 hours ago. On the right side I'm feeling pain when I smile and the pain goes up close to the eye and I feel like tears coming up from the right eye. Is this the effect of pressure or is something else bad? I don't have any redness or swelling anywhere, only this strange pain. Please answer as soon as you can as I'm scared..

Answer: Pain and pressure after nasolabial injection
There often is some swelling after under eye injections. Some products such as Juvederm are too thick and attact too much water. There is also some bruising in this area which leads to edema. Best to consult an expert in this delicate eye area.

It appears from your photos that the product was injected too superficially and left you with a ridge under your eyes. Please consult a board certified dermatologist in having Vitrase injected to dissolve the product. This is a skilled injection technique. Best, Dr. Green
