After placement of under-eye filler, will it always change shape because it attracts water?

Once under eye filler is placed such as restalyne/boletero will it always expand or decrease in size as it attracts water? (crying,showers,washing face) or does it stay the same....

Persistent swelling after HA based fillers is very common. it usually goes away in 2-3 weeks. if this is a persistent problem and its not getting any better but is rather stable then i would advise you get the filler dissolved. I would do fat grafting for such patients. thats an option and...

Thanks for your question. The swelling can be present up to 2 to 3 days after the treatments. You can place ice packs on the lips to help with the swelling. I hope this helps. Dr. Newall
