Very common problem. Patience is the best solution. If some color remains, then lasers can help improve that. I would simply allow time to improve the situation.Dr Vasisht
If you have bruising there is nothing can be done now except for pulsed dye or yellow laser treatments, arnika pills/topical and icing. Warm compresses sometimes help if the bruising is prolonged. Oral vitamin C can help too. But these all do very little once the bruising has occured. Prevention is key! Next time get injections using cannulas to avoid so much bruising. Best, Dr. Emer.
Cold compresses rather than warm compresses will help with bruising after Juvederm and Restylane injections. The cold compress will not affect the filler.
Thank you for your question. To help minimize bruising and swelling after having injections I would recommend a cold compress to the areas.Hope this helps
After you have had a filler use cold compresses if experience swelling at the start but if you have bruising, switch to warm compresses. these will help resolve the bruising. You might also try arnica gel.
I always tell my patients to not love their fillerinjections for 2 weeks. Swelling is very common and sometimes immediate. It canlast 3-7 days and a good idea is to use cold compresses. Cold compresses may beused immediately after treatment to reduce swelling only if needed. This may beapplied for 3 minutes, 3 times per day, for up to 3 days. This is best donewith a bag of peas in a zip lock bag. Only apply light pressure to the area butgentle massage might be necessary if the bump is from the filler materialitself. Get Arnica gel if you can find some and apply a few times a day as wellto help treat any swelling. Avoid any blood thinners. Bruising can also last1-2 weeks. I don't recommend hyaluronidase this early and wait a few weeks untilthe swelling has resolved. If it is persistent or you are worried, set up afollow up appointment with your dermatologist.
Please consult an experienced cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon for treatment of the tear troughs. Restylane Fine Lines would be an appropriate product but you would need to be seen in person to know the amount required. You might start with .2 to .5 ml per side at the first...
Persistent swelling after HA based fillers is very common. it usually goes away in 2-3 weeks. if this is a persistent problem and its not getting any better but is rather stable then i would advise you get the filler dissolved. I would do fat grafting for such patients. thats an option and...
Thank you for your question. It is common to have some swelling and bruising after lip augmentation with hyaluronic acid fillers which can take up to 2 weeks to resolve. You can help reduce swelling by applying cold compresses to the lips. As HA fillers are not permanent you can have them...
