Persistent swelling after HA based fillers is very common. it usually goes away in 2-3 weeks. if this is a persistent problem and its not getting any better but is rather stable then i would advise you get the filler dissolved. I would do fat grafting for such patients. thats an option and...

Thanks for your question. The swelling can be present up to 2 to 3 days after the treatments. You can place ice packs on the lips to help with the swelling. I hope this helps. Dr. Newall

I appreciate your question. Swelling can last up to 14 days in some patients.  I would continue to ice the injected area off and on and Schedule a follow up visit with Injecting MD at 14 days to discuss your results.  Hyaluronidase is not needed at this time.  If symptoms worsen,...

Hi @kathhayes! Swelling can take up to two weeks to subside. If you are unhappy with the results, you can dissolve the filler with Hyaluronidase. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
